Business Assistance

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a federally funded program that establishes the Wisconsin Workforce Development System and provides funding to support training and employment services for adults, dislocated workers and low-income, at-risk youth.

The Wisconsin Workforce Development System is comprised of numerous state and local employment and training organizations that work in partnership to bring services intended to benefit Wisconsin employers. Services to assist employers may include assistance in finding workers, training new or existing workers, dealing with a diverse workforce, and addressing business downsizing and/or closings. Information on the state and local labor market, workforce, and workplace regulations are also available to assist employers in their business and workforce planning activities.

Employers can access the full range of WIOA services through the Wisconsin Job Centers located throughout the state. Find your local Job Center.
